Minimum requirements

๐Ÿค Key responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of dashboards, alert rules and notification policies using Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Implementation of telemetry, log and distributed-tracing pipelines using OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and Zipkin.
  • Incident diagnosis through correlation of metrics, logs and traces, and root-cause analysis.
  • Automation of operations and deployments using Terraform, Python, Bash, Rundeck and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Management of secrets and credential rotation using HashiCorp Vault.
  • Support for Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, VMware Tanzu PKS, Docker, Podman and Helm platforms.

๐Ÿง  Required Experience

  • Observability and monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, alerts, metrics and dashboards.
  • Telemetry and centralised logging: OpenTelemetry and OpenTelemetry Collectors, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch and Data Prepper.
  • Distributed tracing and APM: Zipkin and Dynatrace.
  • Containers and orchestration: Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu PKS, Amazon EKS, Docker, Podman, Podman Compose and Helm.
  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Python, Bash, Rundeck and Ansible.
  • Secrets management: HashiCorp Vault, credential and password rotation.
  • Security and access: OIDC, Apache HTTP Server and NGINX.
  • Linux systems: especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
  • Monitoring of PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience with Camunda is valued.

๐Ÿ“š Education

  • University degree equivalent to EQF Level 6 (Bachelorโ€™s degree or at least three years of higher education).
  • English at a minimum B2 level, spoken and written.
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
  • HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate.
