You will join a high-complexity international IT initiative for an important European Institution, focused on the governance, coordination, and control of a portfolio of IT projects aligned with strategic business objectives.
The project is carried out in a demanding institutional and financial environment, involving multiple stakeholders and high visibility at senior management level. The PMO function plays a key role in portfolio monitoring, consolidated reporting, financial tracking, and process optimization, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
You will work in a multicultural and international environment, where English is the working language for all communications, reporting, and documentation. The position is based in Luxembourg.
πΉ Responsibilities πΉ
Actively support the Project and Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in the governance and coordination of multiple IT initiatives.
Monitor and control portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Prepare and deliver high-level consolidated portfolio reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
Perform project tracking, cost control (actuals tracking), forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Act as a project controller, monitoring progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and deviations, and proposing corrective actions.
Document clear and complete business and stakeholder requirements, translating them into structured and visual representations.
Analyze, design, and improve PMO workflows and portfolio management processes to enhance efficiency and governance.
Collaborate closely with project managers, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure proper execution, communication, and reporting.
Support the use of collaboration and reporting tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams) and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and maintain PMO artefacts, including dashboards, reports, logs, and executive presentations.
πΉ Requirements πΉ
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles supporting project portfolio management (PMO) functions.
Previous experience in financial institutions, capital markets, banking, or European/institutional environments is required.
Proven experience in consolidated portfolio reporting for senior management.
Strong experience in project tracking, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent English level (C1 or higher), both written and spoken.
Solid understanding of project coordination activities and governance frameworks.
Theoretical knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high attention to detail.

PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, or similar certification.
Experience with advanced reporting and visualization tools (ThinkCell, Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of process analysis and automation (e.g. Python, VBA).
Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
